Palominos Mexican Cuisine Plans Large Restaurant and Event Space in Wyoming
A substantial new Mexican restaurant project is moving forward near University of Michigan Health-West Hospital in Wyoming.
Palominos Mexican Cuisine is proposed for vacant land along Metro Lane SW near M-6.
The University of Michigan Board of Regents approved the sale of property at 2184 and 2200 Metro Lane SW on Sept. 17.
The buyer is Palominos Mexican Cuisine, LLC. Local planning documents describe a restaurant project that would include a large dining space, outdoor patio and flexible event space. Wyoming’s Planning Commission previously approved the site plan.
The proposal calls for roughly 8,515 square feet of total restaurant/event space, including an outdoor patio and second-floor event area. Plans also include more than 100 parking spaces.
The property sits in the Metro Health Village area near U-M Health-West Hospital, hotels and other businesses along the M-6 corridor.
The important distinction right now: Palominos is an approved development project, not an open restaurant.
GRNO has not independently confirmed a final construction start or opening date and will continue tracking permits and construction.
